Learn how to draw pretty letters in this Hand-Lettering for Beginners online class. We will explore lettering using regular pens during this 4-hour online class spread over two days. The class will meet via Zoom call from 5 pm - 7 pm IST on July 4 and July 5.

Worksheets for practice will be sent to you by email prior to the class (print them out for class if you can).

Intro to typography and font categories
How to build block letters in Lettering
Adding elements and creating our own styles with lettering
How to add various effects like shadows, dimensions, chiseled edges etc.
How to space your letters and mix styles to create visually pleasing hand-crafted words
Common mistakes to avoid as a beginner
How to continue practicing your craft
YOU WILL NEED
An uninterrupted online connection for the Zoom call on both days
Pencils (HB or 2B is preferred), Ruler, Eraser
Any black pen - gel pens or fine-liners are preferred
A4 or larger size papers (a few sheets)
Worksheets (sent to you by email before class) for reference if you’d like
CONTINUED EDUCATION
Your lettering education does not stop with the 4 hours. You will be given homework after day 1 and day 2 to help you improve your practice as well as practice drills to further your craft.
Video feedback on your final piece + composition tips to use in your handlettering after you’ve practiced letters!
